Behind the store is London Inc., the city’s leading business magazine. Ten times a year, they release publications filled cover to cover with informative and entertaining stories focusing exclusively on London. Last year, they launched an ambitious and exciting project combining their media office and studio with a retail store.

The CityStore opened in late 2022 with a roster of local vendors. They have since grown to feature an array of 40 vendors—an impressive number in their small retail space on Dundas St. Within, you can find food and snacks, clothing and artwork, home items, publications by local authors, and much more in a comfortable setting with exposed brick and large windows.

The London Box is a perfect example of the CityStore’s mission. This series of beautifully packaged gift boxes brings together products from different vendors to showcase various themes. These boxes are a great gifting option that supports many local entrepreneurs at once and introduces you to their products in a perfectly wrapped package.

Pick up one of their pre-made boxes or let them curate a customized box for you. The Welcome Home Box includes handmade soap and a candle, locally-roasted coffee, and maple syrup from a nearby family farmstead—perfect for a housewarming or host gift! There’s also The Pamper Box or The Bro Box, and The Taste of the Town Box and The Hot Stuff Box, which are the best way to discover local flavours and producers.

From small businesses that manufacture in London to artisans working out of their homes, the CityStore boasts an array of creators. You’ll recognize favourite brands like Arva Flour Mill, Booch, Recker Art, Fire Roasted Coffee Co., and London’s iconic “Halfway Between Detroit and Toronto” merch by James Kingsley. The store not only provides a central hub for local products, but it also helps connect people with their new favourite businesses.
