Put on your coziest clothes and grab your holiday wish lists: Only in OEV Fridays is happening on November 24 from 4-8pm at Queens Park and The Market at Western Fair District (900 King St). It’s our final event of 2023, so we’ll be going all out. Join us for a festive evening of indoor and outdoor activities for all ages!
There will be music almost everywhere you look, from roaming carollers to buskers inside the Market like Renee Coughlin! Our outdoor stage will feature local artists throughout the night. Enjoy performances from folk icon Ivan Rivers, indie-pop singer-songwriter Ben Heffernan, and DJ OA(SIS).
You won’t want to miss the lighting of the lights in Queens Park between 5-6pm! Keep an eye on our social media for more specific timing details and experience the magic of a lighting display like no other in London. Make sure to stop by the Old East Village BIA’s booth for free polaroid photos throughout the evening as well.
Outside, Authentic Flavour Restaurant and Catering will keep you warm by serving up Caribbean delights, while Momos at the Market will have the Nepalese dumplings you know and love. Pair your food with a beverage from our libation garden, featuring London Brewing Co-op, Paradigm Spirits, and more to be announced.
Inside, enjoy a bustling night market at The Market at Western Fair District. With over a hundred vendors found throughout the two-storey building, you’ll be able to shop for everyone on your list (and yourself!) in one place.
On the second floor, you’ll also find some of your favourite OEV businesses at the Market for one night only! Pick up some vinyl from Odyssey Records and find the perfect gifts for your furry friends thanks to The Cat’s Bark.
Cash mobs will also be happening throughout the night to kickstart your holiday shopping! Pick up a mystery envelope of Construction Dollars while supplies last when you make a purchase at the following locations at these times:
Starting at 4pm, stop by Grow and Bloom (898 Dundas). Explore their beautiful holiday decor and buy something to make your home warm and bright, including candles, ornaments, and pots. At 4:30pm, head next door to Illbury + Goose (884 Dundas) to find cozy winter essentials, including their iconic clothing, candles, coffee, and more.
At 5pm, walk over to the London CityStore (870 Dundas) to discover products from local artists, artisans, and entrepreneurs and find the perfect gifts for even the hardest-to-shop-for people on your list. Last but not least, keep an ear out for the final cash mob to be announced in The Market at 6:30pm! Show us your receipt with a purchase from any vendor in the market that evening for the chance to win.
Construction Dollars can be spent like cash at participating businesses, so getting in on these cash mobs is the perfect chance to treat yourself or someone you love. Don’t forget that Construction Dollars expire on November 30, 2023 so get spending!

Free parking is available in the Western Fair District lots. Construction is still occurring along Dundas Street, so we recommend approaching the lot from York/Florence. View the parking map below and follow the Market Access signs on Florence!
